I finally found the time to install them Saturday morning, and all I can say WOW! Anyone who wants to add some real power to their 4 banger needs to get a set.

It isn't like installing a CAI and thinking you have gains cause you just spent alot of money, so of course it added 10 horsepower.. You can really feel it. Anyone with a 5 speed knows, when you're trying to punch it out into traffic, or just cause you want to.. The shift from 1st to 2nd gear always leaves you wishing your engine could push a little harder, keep up the acceleration. These headers give you that extra zip the 4 banger has been lacking. Low end power, better throttle response, it makes me want to put my truck on a dyno just to see the gains firsthand.

I can't wait to install my URD MAF Calibrator to get my truck dialed in with the Volant intake and LCE Headers. Seriously, get a set! :D

They fit like a glove and they happen to be long tube headers for my truck. The worst part is getting the old ones off. Look at them and you can tell they do very good craftsmanship. Great grunt off the line to about 3K and wants to keep revving and clean exhaust note.

A nice little correction, header not headers...only one set :p

Could not agree more that a header is the best bang for the buck after re-gearing. I have the DT header and LOVE IT!

yeah from the literature I read that came with mine (for a 2nd gen) they are long tube equal length headers.

I took out my intake, and some thing (no idea what it was) that was attached right above my headers and they came out pretty easily. The heat shield was harder to get out.

Re-gearing is amazing too. Already going up even more from my current 4.56 to get me some snap.

I want to re-gear so bad.. I have 32's right now, I plan on getting the Icon 3 leaf AAL to replace my toytec one, and going up to OME 885 coils once my current tires wear out and go with some 255/80/17 M/T's.

What size tire are you running with your 4.56's? How are your RPM's at highway speeds?

I'm a different motor and transmission gear ratio than you, but use a gear ratio calculator on google like this. With 32's at 70mph I'm about 2600 rpms. Roughly took 10mph off at highspeed and 5mph at low. You are 4x4, that is a pricey change.

Are you running the LCE header with the rest of your exhaust stock? How does it sound?? Im just worried about getting just the header and having that bumble bee sound.. I dont want to get a cat back or different muffler just more power! And as close to stock sound level as possible. Also any increase in gas mileage??
