Cold clutch

So ive had the truck about 6 months now and now that the snow and cold have come, the clutch is acting funny. When I press it in, it should come back just as quick as my foot does, but it doesnt. It doesnt take too much longer but it is significant enough to ask about...

Anyone else have this problem? Solutions?

Another related question. How long is too long to be on the clutch. When I first got the truck, it was a clunky ride because of user error (i would let out too fast not wanting to burn it up). I can now shift smoothly but i do have to ease it out a little slower and want to know if there is a rule of thumb... Thanks

 

I would think this has to do with the fluids of the master cylinder being too cold and maybe condensing? Not sure the exact cause but I am pretty sure it has to do withthe master cylinder and/or hoses

I had a problem like this and it turned out my clutch master hose was leaking. It had gotten to the point that the clutch would some times not pop back after shifting.

 

Does the clutch feel normal after your truck warms up? Mine can feel sluggish if the temps get below 10 degree (F), but it gets back to normal within a few minutes.

 

x2 I've had this happen when the temps get into the single digits. Once it warms up it's fine.
