trouble starting in heat

anyone in the 96' range have trouble starting their vehicles when the weather is warm? it just tries and tries but doesnt turn over. Summer is coming and I dont want to have to deal with this again. everything seems to be working fine. sometimes i have to wait 10 minutes for it to finally catch.

Are you saying the engine does not turn over? Or are you saying it does not start when you turn the engine over with the starter?

 

is it possible that its warm enough outside and your exhaust or some heat causing source on the vehicle could combine to form a vapor lock in your fuel tank keeping the motor starved until it cools down a bit and then you can start it?long shot but ive seen it happen before

 

Im saying it turns over but doesn't start. The issue with the vapor lock could make sense becuae after a while of trying to start it I smell fuel. Any ideas on how to solve this. Your comments are very much appreciated.
