I have 2009 4x4 4 cyl Tacoma. I think you only get front tow hooks if you have the off-road package.

Are there stock Toyota front tow hooks that I could get that would bolt right on to my 4cyl 4x4?

i know you can purchase single tow hooks (check toyotapartssales) and i would assume you'd be able to bolt them right on since the frames should essentially be the same

some people have discussed this and the general consensus was that the Toyota hooks were mediocre and expensive. I'm not sure the brand that was recommended.

I'm new to trucks so I wasn't sure if I could just buy any aftermarket tow hook and have them fit my truck perfectly. That's why I was wondering if there were stock hooks that were known to fit for sure.

i THINK that you can use Chevy tow hooks...but you may have to drill a little bit...but theyre MUCH beefier...

however...for what i get my truck into...generally...my tow hooks should be fine...i dont bury myself to my doors in swamp mud and i try not to get upside down and hang my truck from a tree...

if that stuff happens i have very strong shackles/shackle points for that

search TTORA for a chevy tow hook mod

i was wrong about them being bolt up...you do have to do some drilling...but its pretty simple

Hmm... maybe I have a hook too. I just assumed I didn't since I didn't get the offroad package. Better take a look!

Yep, so it does have one "hook". Although, it's not really a "hook". It's just a metal loop on the drivers side. Two aftermarket hooks would probably be better.

i have an 06 DC trd, just wondering how useful the hooks are? been told to just take them off since they tend to break easily

Jeep TJ tow hook is the same hole pattern.

I bought one that has 3 holes, Universal for YJ or TJ model.

    Just need longer bolts.
