just swapped out my original muffler for a magnaflow glasspack, and im already regretting it, wayyyy to loud and obnoxious. My question would be to anyone running a dynomax turbo, cherry bomb turbo, or magnaflow style muffler, are they loud or little bit louder then stock? i want a new muffler but want something little louder then stock and aggressive when you get on it. Any feedback will be appreciated.

I have a magnaflow muffler also and at first I also didn't like how loud it was. But after a few weeks driving it it has calmed down a fair amount and I have a feeling it will get quieter still. But it does have that nice sound when you get on it still.

you got the magnflow glasspack frog? thankks guys for the replies, was looking into a resonated tip or something along those lines to calm the sound down, mainly the borla intercooled tips with the wings inside the tip. they claim it quits down loud exhausts, anybody do anything like these?

I think so. I ordered the flow pro pack through lce when I ordered my header. It says magnaflow I think they just designed their own tubing for the magnaflow muffler.

I have the dynomax super turbo and like it. Its just a little louder than stock (my fiancee used to say my truck sounded like wall-e because you couldnt hear the exhaust, only the wine :p). Theres enough noise that I can hear it while shifting which is all I wanted so it didn't sound too ricey or head turning. I plan on getting a header down the road so it should make it growl a little more. But at ~$50-$60 plus cost of install I'd recommend one as a great stock replacement, mine was shot.

I tried a dynomax super turbo but didn't like the sound of it with my DT headers. At idle it was pretty quiet but as I started to give it gas and let out the clutch it began to get loud. It seemed louder or more drone like between 1500 and 2500 RPM than at 3k RPM. So I returned it under Dynomax's you like or they take it back warranty. Went back to stock and appreciate having a quiet exhaust.

thinking of putting on a borla intercooled tip to mellow out the sound and make it deeper, would a 2 1/2 inch inlet work on a stock pipe?

Stay away from the cherry bomb extreme then. I'm running a magnaflow cat magnaflow glass pack and a cherry bomb extreme and its super loud.
