Yet Another 2.7 Muffler Question

I have an 07 2.7. What i want to know is what is the absolute deepest muffler i can get? I know i'm never gunna sound like a big block, but that doesnt mean i should have to sound like a civic. Any ideas? What setup will give me the deepest tone possible. To help, i've always kinda liked the general magnaflow tone, and how smooth and heavy it is. Thanks for any help guys.

My friend has a 2.7 with a magnaflow on it, sounds great as long as you dont go too high in the rpm's cuz then it gets kinda ricey but just street driving sounds really good, low tone, sounds depp and aggresive

cool, yea magnaflow was my first instinct. Doesn't the size of the muffler affect the tone as well? I've always heard that the smaller the muffler, the louder the sound. is this true? also, is there a difference in tone between a magnaflow oval or round muffler?

Jardine catback on my 2.7...Ive had it for about a year now. I took this video the first day I got it. The exhaust has a little more deeper sound now.

I am looking for performance and sound.

anybody know the # for the magnaflow muffler?

Magnaflow is the best for sound and performance for the 2.7.

I had my muffler cut and had a straight pipe welded on. It actually doesn't sound bad at all. A little ricey, but for the most part it sounds good. And it cost me nothing. Consider it

Nah, I have a magnaflow race series muffler that was on my car until I got a street series oval one. I'm considering cuttin out the factory muffler & welding that one in it's place. Going without one is not a consideration & it'll still be free.

i fab'ed my own. i bought a 2.25" to 2.5" adaptor, cut the original pipe right behind the second O2 sensor and fitted a 2.5" pipe to a Flowmaster Super 44. at first it sounded a little ricey as i was throttling down but that was before i bought and installed my LC header. now its got a serious low rumble to it at all throttle settings. all in all it cost me about 80 or 90 bucks for the home made catback. i'm happy with it, actually i love it. people are always asking what i've got under the hood since i debadged it and no one knows its a 4 banger.

Is there anything wrong with having no muffler?

I have a Magnaflow muffler w/ a 18" resonator welded in prior to the muffler, sounds good through all gears and RPM ranges.
