I am suprised that no one has come up with this yet, or tried it

i ordered the rear weathertech's for a 05-08 tacoma since i was told that they "do not fit" my 09

anyways, take the 4 bolts out of the stupid rear center console, put the liner down and then put the console back over it....

mark where the two bolt holes are for the center console, drill 2 small holes in the liner and then bolt the console back down and bam you have a rear weathertech floor liner........

or you can just not put 2 of the 4 bolts back into the rear center console if you dont want to cut up your new floor liner. personally i did and it looks great

ill post a better pic once my camera charges

nice, i ordered the husky front and rear for the 05-08 thinking it would fit. the rear didnt so i just returned the rears and put in some old carpet mats from my 4runner. maybe ill go buy the rear husky one again and do this. i also thought about trimming the ones i had but i figured id wait till they make ones that fit right.

I bought the husky rears for 09 fit perfect, bought weathertech's for the front. It's nice to see the difference between the two, I'd probably go all weathertech next time. If I take out the rear console only a small portion will be undercovered.

To add to my previous post, that is, very clean. I really like how the console perfectly fits over it and it looks more stock than aftermarket solutions! Definitely something I will do if I can't get that double cab.

A little off topic, but I did not realize that the rear seats have been changed up from the '08 xtra cab model. & a console?!

yup, i think its pretty dumb how they have it set up for the 09s. i dont need a center console in my back seat, no one hardly ever sits back there. i also feel like they coulda made it a lot more ergonomic given the amount of space back there, something more like the older tundra that had the doors that opened backwards.

The rear console is pretty useless. I don't think mine has ever been opened.

I'd much prefer having a flat floor all the way across.

Noticed on the weathertech website that they say the liners are not for manual transmission models. Does anyone have them in their manual? Is there a problem with them interfering with the clutch or what's the issue?

It says this for both access cabs and double cabs.

My apologies. Found the answer in another thread and ordered them. The fit is quite good but there is some interference with the clutch. Hope to try heating them up and work on the molding a bit.

Really neat idea. But isn't the whole point of having liners is that it's easy to take them out and clean? If you bolt yours down, you still have to vacuum the floor to get rid of crud, so what use are the Weathertechs?

I have an 08' and had no idea this was the new configuration. I keep putting stuff in all the time with it being flat... I can't image what that mini-console provides. I would rip that out in a heartbeat...
