    SOLD!!
I just joined this forum, but you might recognize my name from some of the others. More than a few people have said that I should post my shell on this site, so here it is.

I am buying a Flippac, so this needs to go. I bought this shell in 2007 in VA. It's the high rise type so you will have more head room if you do a sleeping platform or transport bikes upright without removing the seats.
Has front and side sliding windows
    Two interior lights
Two handle locks with keys on the back hatch.

The shell is in good shape, but does have a few scratches. No dents.
I was having a problem with water getting in, and I traced it to the weather stripping along the sliding glass. I put some flexible silicone on that area, and that stopped it. However, I would replace that piece on both sides if I were keeping the shell.

I am in Austin, but I will be driving to Prescott to pick up the Flippac so I could deliver the camper along the way. However, I would prefer local pick up. I would like to get $275 for the shell. I am not sure if TW sends an email message to me if you reply on here, so an email is best. runboorun@yahoo Thanks.

    Somebody needs a campershell, right?

Lots of interest from out of town folks. For this price, its worth the drive, and you get to see Austin!

It's great for sleeping in the back or carrying taller items. I transport my bike (bicycle) all of the time, so the high rise allows me to leave the seat on.

There are a few people that have contacted me with interest that are also from North TX/OK. They just need a shell, not neccessarily a high rise. I could put you in contact with them, and one of them could buy yours and you could then buy mine. Just a thought.

I'm traveling to Houston on the 17th. Do you ever head down that way? And where could I buy replacement weatherstripping?

BBM has first dibs if I drive out to Beaumont, through Houston, and he wants the shell. I don't have an exact date that I will be there at the moment. If we can't work out something, then Adam would be next up. My local camper supply place told me that they can order the weather stripping, but they didn't look it up so I have to verify that. They said its a common piece and they just have to measure it.

Do you have any pictures of the silicone? Where is Prescott anyways?

I'll have to take some photos of the silicone tomorrow. Prescott, AZ, between Phoenix and Flagstaff. How long will you be in the Houston area?

Here's a picture of the area where water is getting in. Water hits the window and then slides down the glass and the flap that the window slides against is letting the water through.
You can see the dark silicone that I put on it to see if it would stop the water. That worked, but it will have to be reapplied. That's why I would replace that entire piece if I were keeping the shell.

Not sure how long I will be there. I will be on crutches on the 17th and am passing through to visit family for a bit.

I checked on the "weather stripping" piece and I am going to go ahead and order it for both sides.

As for dates, I will most likely be going through Houston on the 21st.

Did you get any takers? I may be interested. They are hard to find for the short bed double cabs on the used market. I'm in GA, so if it does go down, I got a hellava drive, but worth it since it would cost me $1000 plus to purchase to new.

Nothing confirmed as of yet. I have probably communicated with a dozen people, but only one or two from TX. Yes, they are expensive and hard to find. I drove to VA to buy this one after I won it on an ebay auction.

Thought I had something lined up along my route, but it fell through. I'll consider any reasonable offer at this point until I leave for my trip to AZ. At that point, the shell will come off, and I will not be as negotiable on price.
    Thanks for looking!
