New member here, from just east of Cleveland but in Buffalo New York for school at the moment. First car was a '93 pickup (4x4, 22RE, 5-speed, Xtra cab) and since then I've been addicted to Toyota trucks. Just this past summer the list of work on my old pickup just became too long and I couldn't trust it for my frequent trips between Cleveland and Buffalo anymore, so I bought a 1st gen Tacoma (my current ride). It's a 2003 TRD Xtra cab 4x4 (3.4, 5-speed), bought it in PA with 82,000 miles and a replaced frame. In the 5 moths I've owned it I've put about 5,000 miles on it and couldn't be more satisfied. I would love to throw money at it and I have an endless list of mods that I would like (don't we all!), however for the time being my bank account (and mechanical expertise) only permits small and easy DIY mods (ex. grey wire mod), so my truck will remain mostly stock for the time being.

I've been a spectator for some time here at Tacoma World, and I've found better answers to my questions here than from any mechanic. So, I've decided its about time I join the party. I look forward to being an active member here at TW, and ultimately a long term Tacoma owner/enthusiast.

By the way... 1ST GENS FTW!!
