hi, just thought i'd throw this out to all the norcal memebers. I finally have all my audio gear ready to install except for the sound deadner. I will be getting that soon. Was wondering if any of you could recommend somewhere to get my audio equipment installed. I want a clean install from someone who knows what they're doing and will do it right the first time. I live in the bay area but grew up in sacramento and my famly is still there. That being said i would be willing to go up to the sacramento area to have my stuff installed. Really looking for a good shop that won't cost me an arm and a leg to get my stuff put in.

That being said, if any of you are good at installs and would want to help me install my stuff, hopefully we would be able to work something out. I would much rather give some of my money to a TW memeber than just some old stereo shop.

I have a friend thats a car audio installer that was going to do my install but he moved to socal because he had a better job offer. If i can;t find anyone to do it in norcal, i will probably end up driving to socal for a few days to get it done down there. I want to get this done sooner beause i want it for all the trips up to tahoe this season!!!!!

this is what i have to instal:

    alpine ida-305s (installed)
    alpine pdx-5
diamond audio hex s600 components in the front doors
infinity coaxials 6.5" in the rear doors
image dynamic id10 d2v3 in a taco tunes box on the back wall of the cab
i have all the wiring and fuse block and speaker wire for the instal.

Thanks for reading this and hope someone could help me out...thanks!!!

Hmm well I'm a little bit north of you in the Santa rosa area, ignore that it says I'm from Muskogee ok, NorCal at heart. If your willing to drive up north more I know there's a few places that do installs, not sure on pricing but the places I know are cartronics, located on Santa rosa avenue, and Kustom Kar Audio (I know they are in Petaluma right now but last I knew they were looking for a place in Santa rosa) there's probably several in between you and me but if you do come up here stay the hell away from car tunes, they messed my old car up. Wish I could personally help you out but car audio isn't my thing. Best of luck to you.

Car Audio Innovations in Roseville. I've seen some of his work, the guy hooked me up with some gear. I do my own installing, but the guy is reputable, VERY knowledgable... and deals in high end cars, so I doubt a Tacoma would be an issue :)

Where in NorCal are you located? I say we just have a mod day and install it ourselves :D

the hardest part of your install is the HU. which is already installed so the rest is easy. do you already have speaker mounts?

btw, I installed the audio system I used to have. Pics in my build

I have everything for the install except the speaker mounts and sound deadner. I wanted to deaden the rear wall of cab plus at least around the speaker opens on the doors. Not sure if i need to do the whole door or not. Id someone local could make speaker mounts for me i would definitly pay you for them. If not, i will buy some from someone on tw.

If some of tou could help to the install for me i would defenitly compensate you for your time and effort. Like i said, i just want it done right the first time.

Btw, what are your opinions on where to mount the amp..under drivers seat or on the back wall next to the sub?

Try sliding the amps under the seat, test fit. My 300/4 doesn't really fit under my right seat, for some reason it has less clearance.

San Fran is no biggy. I need an excuse to go over there now anyways. Garage is preferred though seeing as its getting cold.

I do a lot of camping and snwoboarding, so I didn't want to risk and water getting to the amps underneath the seats. I mounted mine next to the sub. You save on wire too :D

I've only lived here for a few months now... I'm in East Sac, pretty much in the ghetto border of North Highlands.

i will definitly keep this in mind. Was thinking if i did install the amp on the back wall that i wanted to have the set up like yours. Sub and box in middle and the amp on the rear passanger side so i could still use the storage behind the drivers side.
