    my buddy will sell his boat to me for $4,000, it has a 90hp mercury saltwater motor on it and trolling motor up front, the boat is a custom boat made by a local shop, comes with the trailer also, 2005 18 ft center console, what do y'all think?

    Find out what year it is and how many hours are on the motor. Maybe do a compression test too. Also it might be good to check to see how much they are brand new...

    What year is the motor? Did it come new with the boat? Hours on the motor? New or Old trolling motor? Hull in good shape? Nothing wrong with the trailer? What shape are the tires in?

    A lot of questions I know, but small problems with a boat/trailer can become BIG problems very quickly...

    Depends on where you'll use it at? Small boats are just that small. If you bring a friend or 2 you'll be crowded. Just think about what you want to do with it. Big water needs a big boat small lakes okay with smaller boats. Good price on the boat, figure the motor alone would come to that price.
