REVIEW: FLYZEYE V2W LED Interior Light

A few days ago I let Dennis from FLYZEYE Designs verify the fitment of their V2W LED light on my 2012 Tacoma. Here is my review of their soon to be released product.

I have no financial interest with FLYZEYE Designs. Simply just live local to them and offered the use of my truck for test fitment.

Quality & Design: 10/10
These things are very thoroughly engineered, and look great. For the 2012 folks, the black case matches the factory black radio bezel perfectly!

The components are all very high quality, even down to the splice in connector to tap your factory wiring harness.

Function: 10/10
With the hard wired version, the V2W LED lights are "integrated" with the rest of your dash lights. Much more user friendly than having a stand alone unit like the first version of the LED light by FLYZEYE.

Dual color LED's: I went with Blue and White. Blue offers a nice ambient light at night to illuminate the center console. If i need to really see whats going on I can switch to white.

Dimmer: You can dial in the intensity of the LEDs to your preference with the touch sensitive dimmers or your factory gauge cluster dimmer switch.

Back lit Halo's on the touch sensitive dimmer's add a nice touch and looks factory! I went with the "custom color" red HALO's.

The light can be removed and attached to any metallic object and run off battery power -- not sure how often I will use this but it's nice to have maybe in an emergency situation at night if you don't have a flash light handy.

Some may say its too much money for a LED light but in all reality it's super high quality and one of those mods that you will use and enjoy on a daily basis. Well worth it in my book.

Back Side, note the two contact pins in the center so when its attached to the vehicle magnetic mounting plate its running off truck power.

Truck mounting plate. See the magnets, very strong and the light unit does not move around at all when its attached.

 

Looks good, I have the battery powered version and love it. The quality is top notch, Toyota should add this as a option in the parts department.

 

There is an interior lights package available as a dealer installed accessory in some regions. It lights the front floorboards, the bottom of the center console, and the center console storage.

I like it.
