You might get more responses if you post in the 1st Gen section even though you posted in the right section.

Pretty much forget what's be posted, almost everyone (including myself) thought you were a 2nd gen.

You might want to put your year in your rig description so it's prevalent (at the front) and doesn't require a cursor float.

Wrong...that's for the 2nd gen bilsteins....for the 1st gen there is only 3 settings, not 4. If memory serves the choices are : 0", 1.25" or 2.5". 0 and 1.25" are appropriate for use with aftermarket coils (like OME 880's or 881's) and the 2.5" setting should only be used with the stock coils. Aftermarket coils are much stiffer and preloading them at 2.5" is dangerous. FWIW I got about 2" of lift with my 5100's set at 0 and OME 881 coils. If you stick with stock coils you will see roughly 2.5" gain at the most.

What is your plan for the rear?

That sounds more correct. Thanks Lisa. Not sure about the rear yet.. I mostly wanted to level it out.. if it comes down to it ill go with an aal or shackle.. do i "need to do anything to the rear besides modding the bump stops?

You're welcome. I did my research before diving into the suspension swap. I might be a little rusty but I think I have retained most of the info.

Bilsteins and stock coils will keep you level and at stock height if you don't want to do lift - so many options, that's one reason why they are so popular.

For the rear - I assume you're doing new shocks back there too? An AAL may work for you, it really all depends on how bad the current pack is and how often you plan on loading up the bed. Odds and ends that are must haves: new u-bolts and new front hanger bolts for the leaf springs. They can be a pain to get out and will most likely end up being destroyed in the process. The stock shackles at the rear of the leaf springs can be reused

You make it sound like a bad thing....

 Are you sure? I swear they were lower than that...

    Wasn't meant that way.
It was funny that after all the blabbering about 2nd gen someone finally got the conversation back on track.
It happened to be a female.

One time I was the last one at a construction jobsite and my battery was dead.
Along comes this woman in a pickup.
She jumps out says "I'll give you a jump if you don't mind being "girl-rescued".
I said "No problem, let's hook 'em up."

True story and first time I heard the expression.

Here you go...5100's (0 in the front), OME 881's and Wheeler's 5 pack leafs = 2" over stock height
