That sucks we need to get real drivers training. I'm not sure how y'all up there is but down here it's just a guy giving basic instructions on how to drive, no real evasive maneuvering driving or bad weather training. We need to get something like they have in Germany if they did that then I promise at least 40% of the people on the roads today will not have licenses.
Edit: Also that's why you get an emt supply bag to carry around with you.

Sunlight would not have been a factor, and the roads were dry and in optimal condition.

I'm guessing driver error of some kind. Maybe not his, but possibly.

THIS could not be more true. It is pathetic how easy it is to get a driver's license in this country. Hell, they don't take you out on the highway for $#@% sake. Most driver's tests are in a residential neighborhood and you make a couple of turns, parallel park, and poof - you have a license.

In Europe, some driver's tests last two days, and you drive in everything from mountain passes, to highway, to city driving, and everything in between.

I think of this every time some idiot doing 55 in the left lane parks there and has no clue why everyone is flashing him and giving him (or her) the finger.
