    Pardon me Brunes while I go off on a tangent......not directed at anyone in particular, just a peeve.

    What is all the fuss about the All Poo u-bolt flip kit ?

    Do you crawl craggy rock where the stock plate could actually hang you up ?
    Does it really clean that much off the bottom of the tube ?
    Still have the shock mount down there
    Screws the reuse of the factory bump stop
    I've seen pics of the corners drooping with that simple flat profile
    Looks Chinese....wonder if it's grade 8 hardware ?

    If I wanted to flip I would look at using a U-bolt skid (up top) so that a nice, flat surface would be available to re-install the bump via drill/tap.

    Here's a pic of a u-bolt skid in the normal orientation on a "spring-under".

    I wish one of the resident fabbers would come up with a solution like this for a Taco u-bolt flip that would yield a nice, flat surface for mounting the bump stop.

    Yes, and I have already seen one stock u-bolt bracket bent to hell in such a way that it needed to be cut off to be removed.

    No it doesn't. Just tack weld it on to the top plate.

    I have no idea about manufacturing, but I can say the top plate is about 5/8" thick. The coloring is consistent with grade 8 hardware. I have no concerns about it breaking.

    I'd love for another fab shop to come out with a flip kit so I could go back to having an All-Poo Free truck. Alas, no such luck right now.

    I can't remember if we had to trim Booger's or not. 30 seconds with a grinder though if we did.

    Not a big deal fabbing from scratch.
    Just a sloppy kit design if it doesn't drop in, IMHO.

    Yes- I took some photos the other other day at Hot Springs and managed to drop my phone into the mineral water-Mainly because IDGAF so I'll hold it over the water. I"ve also started using it to listen to music in the shower.

    I would think about a skid like that...if one existed or I had the skills requisite to creating it. Alas...I do not. So the flip kit with the Timbren bumpstops is my poison. I removed and long ago lost my stock bumpstops. I wasn't even sure that I wanted the Timbrens...but some of the reviews and comments I've read have convinced me.

    I've got the N182 rear shocks w/ a Wheelers 3 pack AAL in the TSB leaf set. So this is strictly a spring swap. I just need to hear back from DSM...but I plan on ordering early next week. I think I'm going to start without the AALs and I'm going to find the center pin collars locally. That way I can add shims easily if need bed...and then I can add the AALs down the road if I feel like it.

    They have a fair bit they would have to jump or shipping would have be REALLY expensive to be worse than the next cheapest option.
