Well it took a little longer than I though because I wanted everything to look like I paid alot of money to make it look nice! All in all I am VERY pleased with the outcome!

The sound is slamming but also sounds great because of the addition of my by-pass EQ. the bass hit clean and hard, I and impressed with the subs\amp combo.

I did how-ever have to get a bit creative with my EQ. I'm not sure if anyone has tried to mount one yet in their truck but there is really no place to put it that flows with the looks of the dash. I did a little cutting and came up with a spot that works great for me, I even think it looks ok, but please tell me what you guys think!

    Here are some pics!

Freaking love it! You did a great job on the amp install.

And do you think you could run the same setup and leave the plastics on the back of the seats?

I like the EQ where you put it a lot.

    pretty sure that's his eq.

OP, you say you wanted it to look like you spent alot of money to make it look nice??

the amps look good, but those will be hidden under the seat. i like mb quart too.

the head unit looks cheap to me, i've never even heard of that brand.

and the eq location? doesn't work for me...but it might work for thieves who see that.

I think that's the custom spot for the EQ. I'm not sure I'd want all that stuff sitting there begging to be adjusted and played with while driving. I think I'd probably throw it in the glove compartment if I ever got this far into a stereo.

    Nice work tho.

Top notch work, very clean. I like the eq idea but not the placement. Seems like it would fit in the slot under the ac controls with a little cutting, but either way nice work.

Very clean. These are class D amps right? So not so much heat under the seats? Curious where you got em.

    That's the EQ

Thanks, the subs should work fin with the rear panels on, but I adjust the top bracket for the seat back so it gives it another inch or so of clearance just to be sure

Thanks for the opinion! Even though the amps will be hidden, I'm still the type of person to do it right the first time and not worry about it after that!

I do agree with you that the EQ position won't be for everyone, but I like it. I actually originally had it in the center counsel, but it was messy with 4 sets of rca's and the power\ground wires in there. I use that to store alot of stuff to and I just didn;t care for the EQ being there in the end.

I know what you mean about theives, but I'm sure that the deck alone would be enough to invite any unwanted thief. Hopefully everything will stay intact!

Are you talking about the small section of dash directly below the AC controls? Believe me, I wanted to put it there but if you remove the ac controls and look behind it, you'll see alot of structure that looks like it shouldn't be cut!

I even considered putting it in the little cubby right below the lighter but if I were to cut and mount it in there, there wouldn't be enough room behind it to fit the RCA's.

It's a double cab. The amps are under the rear seats and the speakers are behind. As far as airflow, I already have 2 fans on-the-ready to install in the compartment but these amps do not generate that much heat at all. I have it playing hard for a 1 hour round trip drive and when got home the amps were warm, but not even close to hot.

I actually got them off of Amazom.
