The only wheel spacers I cant find are 1.25ins, I want to get some bigger one to fill out fenders better. What are my options?

How big are the tires you are going to be running? Find wheels with as much offset as you need maybe?

It will work but when you adjust them the wheels are supposed to be off the ground so there is as little tension on the springs as possible

alright, what tire size can I achieve without rubbing on a 2-3in lift with front 4" fenders? If I can I want to run 285/75 but I need to know what wheel spacer to get.

285, probably even 295s with the cab mount chop and fenders. you can clear 315s but it required alot of hammering and other nonsense, as well as gearing.
safest spacers to get are the spidertrax 1.25" ones(they are blue)

Alright well it sounds like 285s will be fine then, I do not want to re gear quite yet. Down the road I will get some really beefy tires.

:mad:Well Ive made a mistake trying to put on those rear shocks on a stock truck. :frusty: :anonymous: Basically I asked around if these would fit and work with a mid travel setup(rear shocks), I purchased them as well as top shocks converters to fit the 2nd gen. I realized that on my stock truck with the converters they are compressed quite a bit. Im going to be taking them off as I bottom out very easily. My question is what do I need(what lift) for the back to run these shocks? Shocks fits fine not issue there just need more travel.

Edit: after talking to some people it seems these shocks are just not the right size

What's the compressed length? You could add a bump stop spacer like I had to do or get some longer bump stops. Mine compress to 16.5" and needed about .5" extension for the bumps to hit first. Obviously it will limit up travel but it'll save your fenders with 285's lol!

Edit: Best thing to do is unbolt the shock from either end and measure extended length of the rear leafs (not sure if your stock or not), then get your compressed length at ride heigth and see how the shocks match up.

    See build thread in signature
First off, you put them on upside-down. Second, the resi shouldn't be lined up toward the wheel side, but rather more parallel. If you can't rotate it, a reputable shop can probably change the fitting to re-align it.. or you could get a line to run it to another location.

Also, with 285's you do NOT need new fenders. If you want them... go for it but it's pretty poser without 35's and needing it for clearance. Plus, glass fenders (though badass) are a pain, and the paint will chip easy from rocks hitting the back side causing the paint to spider, ect. Plus... it's a ton of work to get them to fit right... There's fixes (like line-x the inside to help prevent paint spidering) and you could have a shop do the dirty work... but just be prepaired.

As for shocks, you have the right idea on the rear... but make sure you get the right components. Check out my build thread (see signature) for details on my setup. I dig it... and this is why you want mid travel... for flexing to keep the wheels on the ground when going through the fun stuff:

    DSC_0008_dbda3f7cc502125b37e660dded77ab85db1c8c27.jpg

    DSC_0010_512648b184da0f62e5ed93ae83803f9baf9bedf5.jpg

Also, the reason to have remote resi's is for heat dissipation. If I'm running in the desert at moderate speeds where the suspension is constantly compressing/expanding... they get hot as hell. As it get's hot.. they stop working the way it's intended... makes sense right? The extra oil capacity helps keep the temps down and take more consistent abuse.

As for spacers... those are fine, just do as said and get the Spidertrax or AllPro hubcentric spacers
