...And fiberglass fenders. Need more build information to draw any conclusions.

Regarding strength with 37s, I wouldn't take a second gen, lock the front and rear, and give it hell in the rocks with 37s unless there's an aftermarket axle under both ends.

He's going to be getting a 4x4 to mod out and keep the pre stock.

Username wheels his truck harder than any one else on here and it's held up to the 37's

lol my friend has a lifted chevy like that with mud terrain tires, I think it's like 6 inches, and it is absolutely horrid on the roads he can't get a decent alignment done and when it is aligned it doesn't stay that way for long.

My truck rides fine down the road and has held a great alignment for 2 years.

That's what I thought also until I fishtailed my old S10 into the dirt embankments, dad was not pleased.

bummer. My first taco only had a spacer lift and I would go 50+ on washboard roads to try and smoothen them out. Not the smartest thing ive ever done  it worked but it killed those shitty stock black sr5 shocks

    Uh, based on what criteria?

I'm not saying he doesn't wheel hard, but how do you know what terrain every single member of this board has been on?

Which is fine. But stock height clearance ain't exactly impressive. Put 35s on and you've only gained 2" of clearance over stock under the IFS (also, 2" at the rear diff). A 3" lift with 33s gets you 4 inches more clearance than stock in that location, but only one inch at the rear diff. However, I would note the rear diff is a lot easier to sneak around obstacles than the IFS, and a lot harder to damage as well (at least from obstacle impact).

The real problem though, as has been mentioned, is the lack if IFS skid protection.

I would too if running them.

The point is, not all wheeling is the same. "mobbin' it" down a desert road is completely different from dual-locked in the rocks. And different types of terrain carry different risks of drivetrain breakage.

I'm aware you know all this. What I'm trying to get at from nofords up there is what qualifies as "hardest wheeler on TW"? Because Wyatt Scott may beg to differ (among others).

And to be clear, I got no problem with Username one bit - that's a badass rig and it's set up *right*, stuff huge tires on a suspension that keeps the chassis low, maximizes clearance, and allows for excellent wheel travel. Much respect. I just don't believe for one second it would hold up to Pull Cable at Mountain City TN without breakage:

Because I know everything obviously? The point was more that he does actually beat on his truck with 37's and it seems to be holding up

Again, I have no doubt he actually wheels it.

    Yup.

And it may not be at risk whatsoever...again, I don't know his driveline setup or what terrain he's wheeling on.

still a bad ass looking truck running on 37s ..would definitely love to see a build page on that beast
it does appear to be a desert ride though which is why he's giving you crap about it being wheeled the hardest...
