Spring eye bushings...I have been using the three piece bushings, instead of the one piece. The one piece bushings are best installed with a good sized press, while the poly three piece can be assembled during install. A few years ago, I did ALL 16 bushings on my two old dodge trucks, a 62 Town Wagon and 68 Utiline pickup, with the procedure resolving into pulling springs one at a time, cutting the bolts with a die grinder and a 4" wheel, and pressing the old bushings out with a 20 ton press and custom tooling.

Are the Toyota spring eye bushings the best out there right now? I have changed out my fair share of them, with a grinder, torch, press and press tooling to make the job go better.

Did you use top plate spacers with the 885's?

No I do not have the top plate spacer and with the Dakar springs in the back I do have a pretty good rake. I am planning on getting a Thule rack on the back and hoping the springs settle a bit to give me a more level look. But love it regardless. Great ride and very pleased the way it turned out.

Yeah I am not saying this because it was what I got but I love how it rides. I was scared that it would be different and it is but better. I really do like how it turned out. Just enough lift and awesome ride.

As for the rubbing it does rub and I imagine the plate spacer might help a little bit with that. I trimmed a little in the front and took the front mudflaps off. Some say you can just trim the midflaps but thought what the heck just remove them. You can kind of see what I trimmed in the picture with just the tire and wheel. However I have not taken it out on the trail yet so I imagine there might be some more trimming involved.

Good luck with whatever you choose but I think if you go with the OME kit you will NOT be disappointed.

You can play with the arch on the rear springs to get your level back...any good spring shop can set the arch at any point you choose...I would go for about 1.5" LESS arch, the rubbing is from the front I suspect.

I have built more leaf springs than I can count over the last 30 years...

On the other hand, the suspension on my '11 access cab is stock and will remain so for a while. It is as high as I want it for my needs, and the primary one is to load and unload the bed easily.

I have other trucks to play in the woods with...this one is to navigate the gravel mountain roads that lead to my cabin in the woods...and the roads I drive daily.

On the other hand, there are plans for the wife's Jeep Wrangler Sahara, new wheels and tires and a 1" lift to the front to compensate for the winch and winch bumper.

I did not know that. It is not too bad that I will change it but good for others to know. Yes I forgot to mention the rubbing is in the front. No rubbing issues at all in the back

Yea thats what i plan on getting except adding the top plate spacers. So you didnt have to cut cab mounts correct? thats my only worry because i really dont wanna do that.

No I have not had to cut cab mounts but like I said it is very new and have not tried it out on the trail. I am assuming with the top plate spacer it will even be less rubbing but hopefully someone with more knowledge could chime in and confirm.

Yeah nothing to hardcore for me either. I would recommend it, rides really good and not sure if I mentioned this in this thread or not but I went and got the collars and shims as well. I have no shakes or vibes what so ever. Good luck and cant wait till you get it to see what you think. Good luck.

Realized I did not mention it but look at the thread below.
