6 speed problems

my transmission has been acting up. it used to be real clean and sturdy shifting but one day when i went to shift it slid into gear very easily and you can move the stick around a lot while its in gear. when shifting it seems like you can moved it a lot before it goes into the next gear (almost hittin the dash when going into 3rd) its just very loose and sloppy. it happened about 2 days after i changed my oil maybe that had somethin to do with it.
any help without goin to the dealership would be great.

 

any update on this. I just changed my trans oil too.....changed it to redline MT90 and it seems worse than the stock oil...

 

i'd check the fluid level again and maybe you should try doin coupe's shifter mod? http://www.xr-underground.com/forum/showthread.php?t=31063

 

there is a white bushing that the ball sits in (opposite end of the shifter). sounds like this plastic bushing is gone

this is on a supra but it's the same on the 6 speed tacomas
