    If you're going to mount an outlet so it's facing up, I'd suggest using those safety outlets so crap can't fall into the holes. The safety ones have a plastic piece inside, covering the holes that will retract only if there is something pushing in both holes on the outlet (so you can't accidently push something into just one of the holes).
