I've run Mobil 1 with either a K&N filter, or more recently, an OEM Toyota filter. I've changed the oil every 5000Kms, and haven't had one issue with the motor. Doesn't use oil, and runs like a dream. I have 70,000Kms on it now, and it still runs like new.

Any newly manufactored oils will do a great job if you change every 5,000
    miles.
I personally prefer Mobil 1 simply because of our cold winters. Other than that I would use whatever is on sale and I'll bet my truck will last as long as anyone elses on this forum.

Oil is not gonna help you if you run the piss out of a car or truck.
