has anyone herd of these sliders?

i ordered a set. they looked nice and they'll be here in about 2 or 3 weeks

yeah i was just scared because it said they bolt on. but i don't do too much off roading just a bit i just need a little extra protection.

 

well if you ever decide to get serious those will do the job. better to have too much protection then not enough.

 

Love how low profile they are

 

They are built about an hour south of me. I have em. I like em, but havent tested them yet. Install was fairly easy if you have jack stands. They come with self tapping bolts for the frame, but I pitched them and went grade 8 instead. When you drill the pinch weld make sure that the hole is slightly higher then the center of the pinch weld. those use bolts. I over tightned one so I figure what the hell, grade 8 those too.

yeah I like those man. thanks for the heads up glad I got some one on here who experianced them. I do love the fact they hug the body I'v seen some others where the stick out almost flat.

now i just need a lift and i'll be about done with my build

 

what's the cleanability of your rocker panels like with these? can you still get behind them to wash your rig?

 

What is inner hitch steel? The steel you use inside a hitch?

 

Yeah, no problems getting behind them. Cleaning is a breeze.

 

Any chance you can snap a quick shot showing how they attach to the pinch weld?

 

I can tomorrow sometime. Its too dark to get a decent shot right now.

EDIT: Went and tried anyway. Pictures arent great but they might give you an idea.

I guess, I dont know for sure though. I can say that they are incredibly stout. just not so confident in the mounting. I guess that is how it is dont on jeeps though.

OP when you get yours installed, keep an eye on the powdercoat. I had rust starting to form in a few places after about 3 months. Minor stuff for the most part. I just hit it with some rustolem and I was good. But just a heads up.

 

thanks for the heads up and the pictures. If i don't feel confident in the bolts I'm sure i could modify it to where it can be welded on that way it's not going anywhere for sure

If these sliders had a better mounting design I would say they were pretty good. Being as they don't I will say be careful how far you trust them.

 

They look like good sliders but the mounting is sketchy it nice if they put some sort L bracket probably little bit more better

I chopped the little legs off and had some 2x2 .25" legs and scab plates welded to the frame.
