    I've lost count....

I use Winchester Super-X 300 gr. Hollow Points out of my .45-70 and have had great results with them on the range and on whitetails. I also know several people who use Hornady LEVEReveolution out of their .45-70's and they love them too. My .45-70 is a TC Encore and plan to start reloading soon so I keep all my brass...the casings on .45-70 LEVEReveolution ammo are a bit shorter in length than standard .45-70 rounds and that is why I have not used them.

I've never used Buffalo Bore out of my .45-70 but I use Buffalo Bore high velocity ammo for hunting loads in my Ruger Blackhawk .357 magnum (6.5" barrel) with great results. It definitely hits harder (and is A LOT louder) than any other load I have put through that revolver.

look up the nra model marlin 30-30. it is the prettiest gun i ever seen in my life. a grey/bluish wooden stock with a stainless barrel and an engraving of a cowboy scene on the action. i, unfortunately, was not lucky enough to win it
