For future reference the size of a sub should not and does not determine what frequency it should be tuned to any size sub will hit any frequency a larger one does

Maybe with a quarter wave box!!! LoL You're never going to get one of those in a truck though. Smaller speakers do not move enough air unless you're looking at a Adire Brahma or something... those speakers have ridculous Xmax ratings. Larger boxes help, but you can't push the same power.

haha yeah, I discovered the song after that vid.... started me into the whole dubstep thing. I'm not a fanatic about it or anything, but it does have a strong presence in my music collection :)

Rcfreak did u stay with the kicker cvt 10" and just upgrade the amp with a JBL 500/1?

Can you please let me know ASAP. I am looking to buy 2 NEW kicker CVT 10" for 90 bucks on Craigslist. Do you think that's a good deal?... I'm just going to use one speaker in my truck though.

Would the JBL 500/1 be too much amp for one kicker CVT 10"?

    Thank you in advance :)

I find it funny how people think if they "over power" a sub it will instantly blow to pieces. Your sub will seldomly see 500 watts from a 500 watt amp, and it's not "too much amp" that will blow your subs, but mainly distortion and heat.

After talking with a pro installer I know, I cannot recommend this website as they are not an authorized dealer. Warranty issues are common with them I am told. I can buy this amp for $479.00 from an authorized dealer with full support. 3 year warranty.
I am going to buy this model to go along with a Kicker 10" sub and my Infinity Kappa series speakers.
