Hard to say. This is one place where residual value works against us. Looks like you're ok at least.

Looks totaled to me. Hope it all works out for you. Accidents seem to happen in waves on TW. I consider not driving my truck when I start to see a lot of accidents. We are all cursed.

    Good luck with whatever happens.

Sorry about the taco, my son hit black ice in Yosemite in his Camry over Christmas, totaled it. Car did very well though, both of my daughter in laws and my wife were with him, just shaken up.

Glad to see you did better then the taco.

In my area the temperature has been hovering around freezing the last week, so ice can form in random places on the road.

Were you in 4WD when it happened? I find it reduces oversteer in turns when the roads are slippery.

i am glad you are OK. you are right though, i hope they total it for you, because after a hit like that, it's tough to straighten them out. not saying it can't be done, but sometimes they don't drive like they used to.

the one thing i am continually impressed by after seeing all these totaled tacos is that they keep their drivers safe. amazingly safe vehicles.

Sorry to hear but glad your ok.

I hit a patch of black ice a couple of weeks ago that threw me, well slid me, about 5' off to the side. I was going 45 at the time on one of our highways.. my wife and both my kids in the back.

I was lucky and didn't over correct, it grabbed traction and we were fine.

    Scary.

We had some pretty nasty black ice. Came up on people real quick. There were a lot more than just you in this situation. School buses were sideways, cars blocking all of route one.
    Sorry about your ride Justin.
