Sorry, we currently do not have scoops for the 2012 Tacoma. We may produce them sometime in the future.

    Thanks!

I know carbon fiber is alot. But you can get a whole new hood with a scoop thats carbon fiber for $559. so for just the scoop that seems like alot. If the price was lower I would def go in on it.

    ...plus $100 shipping

Despite the hood being larger does not change the difficulty of manufacturing. We are a start up small company aimed at producing carbon fiber parts specifically for the Tacoma. Hopefully as sales continue, we can introduce more exciting parts not available anywhere else at lower prices.

Maybe if we can get more than ten people the price can drop a little further.

I actually prefer the scoop over the hood :)

    Thanks for looking.

This is actual carbon fiber. $60 would not even come close to materials cost to produce one scoop. I know some other people experienced in composites mfg would agree with me.

    Thanks for looking though.

EDIT- the stock scoop from Toyota costs $107.66 plus shipping and it is made out of molded plastic...

I never even considered anything like this. Now that I've seen it, it looks pretty freaking cool. It would look good with my Timberland Mica taco.

OP - is there a closing date on this GB?

I'll sub and think about this...

I appreciate you getting into it. I'd like to see a Buick GN style hood or a 1970 AMX style hood. [IMG][IMG]

Look at this on a crossfire. [IMG]You make an AMX hood to bolt on my truck and I'll be your first customer for it.

Though I don't think ill ever purchase one, the price of these scoops is in line with other manufacturers...... I owned a 2005 legacy gt and the replacement CF scoop was $275 and its about the same size as the tacoma's...... the one for the legacy did actually improve airflow to the I/C though, so function was also considered.

Overall though pricing seems in line with other MFG's.

Yes, your prices are fine. You need the volume of orders. I don't care if it's a universal peel and stick scoop as long as it looks as good as it does on the 70 AMX, I'd buy that all day long.

I agree. No one wants to pay "one off" prices. The cost of mfg just one of anything is through the roof. And then no one wants to drop money on something that doesn't exist yet either
