Which OEM style fog lights are best ?

I have a base reg cab 2011 tacoma 4x4 and would like to add fog lights in the stock location in the front bumper. I"ve seen the factory Toyota fog lights are big bucks and have seen many aftermarket OEM style lights available for around $100.00. Has anyone had any experience with the aftermarket lights as I would appriciate your input.

 

Lots of people have used Ebay fog lights that are OEM direct replacement manufactured by an off brand. For $100 though, you can usually find someone selling off a pair of OEMs on here for sale but they usually don't include the wiring harness.

 

I wonder how hard it would be to wire foglights in on a base acess cab 4 cylinder???

 

It's not hard, most of the Ebay kits come with all the wiring you'd need. You can use any switch you want if you don't like the one that comes with the kit. If you have any specific questions about how to get it done, post them up. Lots of people have done it and are willing to help.

I installed some fog lights from ebay for under $100.
While they are likely not the same quality as original they are fine. I struggled a bit with the wiring, but finally got it and wired them independent of the other lights. I bought a lit toggle switch that was made better then the one that came with the kit. Let me know if you want me to draw up a diagram and or take photos.

I found a decent fog kit on Amazon. Search their site under Fog lamps/lamp kit for Toyota Tacoma 2006-20011. The kit is $89.99. That is about 10 bucks more then I paid 8 months ago, but it looks like a little better set. If you order them and need some help with installation let me know.

Also check out the switch available at Amazon.com-Kaystar KU 800014 20 amp rocker switch for $10.49. I preferred this switch because it was well lit when on, had a nice click/click when turned on and off. It is not hare to substitute if you want.
