    The reason I ask is because we will have to split up into at least 2 groups. That means we need at least 4 people with cb's (1 person in front and 1 in back). Those people also need to have a good bit of experience wheeling.

    EDIT: Navy if you go to www.rightchannelradios.com they have a great selections of setups at great prices. I am probably gonna order mine through them.

    Thats what i have i had it mounted in my center console while i was in Montana. Wires ran clean but couldn't get it tuned so i said fuck it. I had a 4 ft firestick mounted in the bed

    It should tell you how to tune it in the manual. It is pretty straight forward IIRC

    EDIT: the Wilson 1000 roof mount is the way to go antenna wise.

    It will tell you how in the owners manual. Having a SWR meter helps but it isn't necessary. I had a cb in my old truck and tuned it without using one and it worked just fine.

    Na there is an entire circuit board attached. underneath the console is not deep enough. I only had room for a coax 90 angle and the antenna cable. its only like 3' max.

    hmm...i'll have to look around in the truck. i don't really want to put holes in anything but maybe the back of the center console? with the faceplate pointed toward the ceiling.
