U-Joint slinging grease?

I have a line of grease where the u-joints have slung the grease out.
You can see some grease on the ujoints themselves.
It's on the first u-joint closest to the transmission. And the one that is at the carrier bearing. The rear one doesn't seem near as bad.

Could this be from over greasing the u-joint?
I haven't ever greased them, but I think Toyota does when they change the oil?

It's a 2007, V6, 4x4, Access-Cab, TRD -Off-Road

Anyone else seen this happen?

 

They do this after they are greased. The excess that is on the u joint slings off. Normal if you ask me.

It's normal to have some. When I grease mine I wipe away any excess I can see. Some mechanics are pretty sloppy with that and make a lot more mess than they should. If you never saw any it would mean the bearings had probably not been fully greased.

 

I had the center one do this and it was caused by the ball in the zerk fitting not sealing well so grease would leak back out after it was pumped in. Replaced the zerk and all is well.

 

They aren't sealed so you can pump as much as you want into them.

I pump mine until I see the burn crap stop and new mobil 1 shoot out of it

when you done just take a rag and wipe the excess away. very simple and it will prolong their life.

This makes me feel better. Mine is not near as "bad" as yours.
Not that "bad" is ummm, bad? in this case.
It tells me at some point, it was greased.
