First of all, those covers look awesome! I do not have a CAI, but I have a question. I am not that familiar with how it works either, but I am trying to learn. Please don't bash the non-mechanically inclined. Does it defeat the purpose of CAI if it is enclosed in a box?

An intake should be sealed from engine heat "Cold Air", and take incomming air from a coller location, at either the front of the vehicle (URD), the fender ( OEM/TRD), or from outside near the roof line (Snorkle). If an intake is in the engine compartment, and un sealed, it is not a "Cold Air" intake.

I use a bellvelle stainless washer with a rubber face. These keep tension on the bolt.

It seems that filter would get really dirty.

in addition to my tacoma i also own an acura rsx and i've found adding a cold air intake screwed with my O2 sensor. has anyone else had this problem or is there any other remapping or tinkering a person has to do to avoid this on the taco?
