Stay away from people you like! This is what my kid & wife had last week. The Dr. at the emergency room said it was variant of the norwalk virus.I had to take my 5 yr. old in cause she couldn't keep anything down and was butt-squirtin without even knowing it .They gave her an i.v. & some stuff to help with with the nausea & fever of 102.Then my old lady got it so i took her to the vet and they suggested i put her down.Sure will miss her.

    p.s keep hands washed

Trans ischemic attack. It's like a mini stroke and generally means you'll have a real stroke down the road.

    Thanks Gang!!

I am feeling better this morning. I was able to get some food in yesterday & it stayed in, so I'm feeling less fatiqued today. I needed some food!! Gotta stick to the BRAT diet for a bit. That's supposed to be 'easy' on your instestinal track.

No worries about the 'death' comments. I'm not offended or upset, believe me. Shit can happen. As I always ponder, You never know when its your turn.

Doc mentioned it's probably not food poisoning or viral related - as the body usually flushes those out in a couple days. Since this is lasting longer than that, it's probably bacterial related (which is harder for the body to get rid of). And he said even when you feel better, you can't jump back into eating regularly. You could still have the symptoms for a week (or more) later. Something about the intestinal track being damaged and it needs time to repair itself. But who knows....makes me wonder where I picked this up from. I spent the afternoon at King of Prussia Mall and ate at Hooters on Sunday night.

Oh well - maybe I'll lose a few pounds in the process! (laugh)

Thanks for the well-wishes. You guys are great!

:D I have to laugh...I think my intestines look & feel like tentacles. :p

Sounds like Colitis...which is basically inflammation of the large intestine and colon caused by bacteria or virus or food poisoning.

My bf had this a few months ago, took some antibotics and suffered for a week or 2 then was all better.

Hope your stool test comes back normal and they don't have to do a colonoscopy .

Glad you are feeling a little better, hope you feel a lot better soon!!

Janster - Hope you're feeling even better today! Being sick is just no fun at all. Sounds like you had a really rough time of it. I'm sure that BRAT diet is getting old real quick, but stick to it. Get better soon.
