Question for Undercover owners

I'm thinking of buying one of these covers for my truck soon - have any of you had any issues with the cover moving around and rubbing the paint on the bed?

Does the cover even overlap far enough over the factory plastic bed rails to mar the paint? Thanks

 

The cover doesnt move around at all, and it overlaps far enough that it wont touch the paint.

 

Hey thanks for the quick response - I'm having a hard time deciding between the standard or SE cover

 

i got the standard/classic cuz i liked the more simple look. but the SE doesnt look too bad either

 

have the undercover love it ,no issues

 

I've got the SE, no problems so far. Only issue is water likes to pool up in the back part of the SE but it doesn't cause problems.

 

My Tonneau hard shell. I bought it a week after I got my Tacoma in September of last year. No complaints, issues etc.

 

Had Undercover on my F150 but got Armorlid this time. Basically the same but was $100 cheaper. Also liked that the Armorlid doesn't have the ribs underneath. The ribs used to get in the way a lot and the Armorlid actually allows for over an inch more clearance in the bed when closed. No leaks what so ever.

 

I saw an Armorlid the other day on the road on an access cab taco and it looked like it had way too much gap between the outside edge and the truck. There looked to be 1/2 to 3/4 inch all the way around. Is yours like that?

 

Nope. Maybe wrong cover ordered for his truck?

 

My Undercover Original developed nasty cracks at the hinges. They were so bad that I took it off for fear of it flying off on the highway. My guess is that it was caused by driving quite a bit on gravel roads. Supposedly the SE line has stronger hinges and people who drive primarily on paved roads would probably never see this problem. Undercover made me a deal on a new SE cover but I may just go with a toolbox instead.
