quick question about rim and tire size

Hey guys, im picking up some 4runner rims tommrow for the summer,plus i need to fill the fenderwells a bit more. The rims are 17" and i read somewhere they stick out about an inch farther than stock taco rims due to there backspacing, now my question here is i would be fine running 265/70/17 tires right with no rubbing issues? i have 5100's up front set at 1.5 also, right now i run 245/75/16 on the stock steelies for the winter, here my truck now and the rims im picking up.

 

so.. will 265 70 17 rub? i can always take off the mudflaps no big deal, the offset on the rims should help in my case for rubbing issues rite?

 

If you put them on and there is no noise when cranked all the way left or right when approaching or exiting an incline, they aren't rubbing.

If they do, minor trimming will fix it right up.

Seriously, just gotta try it and adjust as necessary.

 

yea i just wanted to make sure that i dont run into and serious issues thats all stock rims are 5.5 backspacing rite? and these rims are 4.75 backspacing giving almost an inch of extra clearance

 

imcase anyones looking to do the same heres an update fit is prefect no rubbing and its soo much quieter with these tires over duratracs.

 

I want those wheels. i don't know why more people dont desire these. guess you and i have odd taste. looks good.

 

i love them and i found them for 350$ they were mint cond with all lugs.
