[IMG] and that, my friend, is a d loop, goes on your string in between your nock, and the d loop will keep the serving on your string from wearing away if your release rubs on it......it is entirely optional, and if you were to get one, you would have to change your draw length. Again, it is entirely up to you.

well ive been practing with the bow for a few days now, and I think that 60 lbs is a bit much. My shoulder has been hurting since I first shot it on friday set at 70lbs. Im just afraid that when im sitting there for hours on end, that i wont be able to pull it back with a deer in front of me.. Im thinking i may return it for the 50-60lb pull. What do you guys shoot?

mine is set at 54 or 55, and I believe, with a little luck and the right time, I will be ok with that. As for the deer, well, I don't know. :D:D

lol well when the guy from cabelas oringally took it out of the box it was set at 70lbs..its been tuned down to 60lbs. I hurt my shoulder at 70..i gave it a few days to heal, and i went out and shot tonight. Not bad, definately getting better. I think im just going to leave it at 60.

I'm going to be getting relocated (military orders) and can only hope I get somewhere I can have a chance to hunt. The areas I hunt here have been showing more activity then the past 2 years I have hunted it. :(

what arrows does everyone reccommend? I got the carbon fiber arrows from Cabelas, but I cant seem to keep them in a consistant group. Maybe aluminum will be better?

carbon fiber is lighter and flys better as far as im concerned. get a set of radial x weaves....................make sure the grain is right........those arrows are awesome!

i got the cabelas carbon hunter.

My dad swears by the aluminum ones. Plus there on the cheaper side. Just wondering if it would really make that much of a difference in CF and aluminum.

if your dad told you to jump off a bridge would you?:D:D try stuff on for size first, the beauty of this sport is that there are so many products out there to try.....stay with carbon arrows, they are better than aluminums....are you sure it's the arrow and not the indian?

I'm just using some cheap/heavy red head arrows.

Before you get into all of the "my arrows won't keep a tight group" talk try paper tuning. I did the same thing when I first started shooting. After the tune I can't tell the diff. in my cheap arrows and the high $ ones (other than arrow speed). My groups are all within 1-2" apart. Now I didn't get that away overnight, it took me lot's of practice and focusing on my form. Form is key!

Try this guide for tuning: http://www.centenaryarchers.gil.com.au/basic1.htm

ive had it with these carbon arrows. They fly pretty damn good, but dont stay together for shit. I took the nocks off 3 of these arrows already. Shouldnt they be glued on?
