I have a Rockford Fosgate Prime r250-1 amp. I want the Rockford Fosgate Punch P3S-1X12 shallow 12 that comes in the shallow enclosure. Does anyone know if my amp will power this fine? Will it sound good and get deep(compared to other subs)? Will this fit behind the passenger rear seat in a double cab if I remove the plastic bins and cut the child restrain hooks off. Here are the specs for the two:

    Rockford Fosgate Prime r250-1 amp:
    Number of Channels: 1
    Rated Power
    (RMS Continuous Power): 150 Watts x 1 @ 4-Ohms
    250 Watts x 1 @ 2-Ohms
    Total Power
(Sum of Rated Power): 250 Watts RMS
    Bridgeable: No

    Rockford Fosgate Punch P3S-1X12 sub:
    Nominal Impedance (ea): 1-Ohm
Internally wired to create a 1-Ohm amplifier load
Power Handling: 400 Watts RMS 800 Watts MAX
    Dimensions: 13.5 x 27.4 x D1 5.3 - D2 3.3 (in)
    34.29 x 69.59 x D1 13.46 - D2 8.38 (cm)

Is this the system you are wanting?

If so that box will not fit behind the rear seats of you DC, you only have about 7" that tapers up to about 2 inches. That amp will be under powering the sub which is fine and will NOT hurt the sub at all until you turn the gain up and send a clipped and distorted signal to the sub which will fry the sub. I'm guessing that you're looking to spend around $550-600? If so my suggestion would be a box with 2 JL Audio W3v3-4 and a Kenwood KAC8105D. I've heard this system in a Ford F150, different box but same air space, and it knocks for the subs only getting half their rated RMS power.

If you want something to fit behind the seat,

if you have the cash, get a JL 13w5, they will fit behind the seat in the box you can buy with it. you just need to take the plastic off. power it with a 500 watt amp and its loud as hell

    sorry for the quality

i have a JL 13w5 pancake behind my 60 part of my 60/40 bench seat took the plastic out, its driven by a 500 watt JL Audio J2 500.1 Calss D Mono Amplifier. I have infinity door speakers all around powered by a 1000 watt nitro amp. All controlled by a kenwood excelon with my ipod in the glove box

Thanks for posting that pic. Very nice setup! What all did u have to do to get that box to fit? Is that the jl power wedge box? Do you think that jl 13tw5 would sound better than the jl stealth box with the 2 10's?
