Do any of you have any pix you can share of how/where you mounted yours. I'm a bit OCD about exposed wires so just trying to get some ideas before I buy one.

I can't stand wires across the dash either there is a space between the glass and the dash that you can hide wires in then remove the hand hold and the trim around the window pillar. There is a fair sized space that you can get the OBD2 plug from the gauge down through and it will come out very close to the OBD2 connector. I guess the thing could be stolen but they would have to cut the wire and that would make it fairly worthless. Did the same with the GPS but came up from behind the radio and just plugged it into the acc. 12 volt plug.

    LOL @ the turtle

I have to do something a bit more permanent.. It's still just run down between the left side of the dash and the drivers door.. tucked in enough that it doesn't jam up anywhere.. but the slack is all bunched up above the OBD2 connector :D Not the very best. I'm sure tranceporter would have a fit :)

lol I used to have a scan gauge and thats how I had that set up at first. Later when I turned my car into a track/weekend car and it had enough holes in the dash for other gauges adn crap i did the same with that too. The tacoma is too new for me to take liberties with drilling holes to sneak wires around.

Damn i know what you mean.. Felt bad drilling that tiny hole under the steering column for my camera switch... then snipping the wire to make the connection... then drilling out two drain holes in the side of the composite bed for the tonneau cover drain hoses... oh and two extra tie down mount holes... argh! What have I done :(

Here's my scangauge. The wire could be hidden with some effort, but it doesn't bother me. The scangauge has another plug on the back so the wire could plug in there and go in the gap between the gauge cluster and sterring column, but I have my wheel high enough that the plug hit the gauge cluster when I tried it. Still think it looks fairly clean.

yeah I'm 6'1" too and in my 1st-gen I use the visor in about 5% of my time driving-and I have to slump down a little when I do:) Most of the time the headliner edge is my sunvisor.
