Well I figured I would post a few pictures of my truck now that I have lifted it. Honestly this truck rides better with the lift. I installed the lift when the truck had 3,500 miles. 5100's are an improvement! I put the 5100 at 2.5 and a 3" tapered block in the rear with new 5100 there as well. I also bought and installed a Magnaflow "off road" exhaust on the truck. I love the exhaust and it took all of 15 minutes to install. I am running Firestone 285/70/17 and they hit the plastic a little in reverse full right. I trimmed a little and its good to go.

Friend liked it so good I installed the lift on his truck. Then he insisted I put an add on Craigslist for Tacoma lifts and I did. I have done 2 Tacomas and a Tundra. Making a little extra money in my new shop:D I have got the lift down to 2 hours by myself for the install. Easy to do and well worth it. Thanks yall for all your help. I did a lot of reading on here by "using the search" button as many people don't know how to use:notsure:

Removed the mudflaps and took off and then installed the step bars(daughter had a hard time getting in) Step bars are useless for adutly but kids need them. Thanks again Tacomaworld!

I have put aal on a few trucks because they carry weight around all the time. The ride is too rough for our light trucks. Block works perfect and rides great. I tow my boat every once in a while but no real weight back there.

Pieced it together from Downsouth and Toytec and eBay. I can get a set up for under $500 with new rear shocks.

Everyone has their own opinion. Springs are weak any ways so they are gonna flatten out. As far as axle wrap goes...its a 6cyl truck. Not gonna be racing it. Every truck I have had had rear blocks including F250s and I have never had a problem. To each their own though. I am not one to fall for the "they say" deal. I like to find out on my own and I know aal rides rougher than blocks unless you are carrying around weight. Your ride looks good though.
