i picked up some decent 17"trd rims and the triangle holes in the rims had some pitting. so i sanded it all out and painted holes with the same slight gray off color that was all ready there. i didnt touch the polished aluminum 5 star spokes.my question is im all done and i dont know if i should clear the whole rim.the metal primer and paint i used from krylon says to scratch lightly sand paint to clear coat it. thats not happening it came out to nice for me to touch.has anybody just cleared over everything and had any bad results. thanks[IMG]

I would not scuff it up if it was mine. The clear coat is not required, although it will provide some protection. If you do it within a certain time frame (48 hours?) after painting the color, you can spray the clear coat without scuffing it. You might look into doing just those painted area, but I would not touch the rest of the rim.
