I feel like this is not a good idea. Why don't you send what you bought back and buy from a reputable source like say, DSM?

OP is asking if he can take the perch from his stock shock and use it with his Bilstein's because the ones he ordered didn't come with it.

I get the impression that he was confused about what exactly he is supposed to take off the stock shock. I would see if the perch is with them when they arrive. If not I would do as tacoman15 says and send them back and get them from a better source.

As a side note, I sure hope English is not your first language...

I didnt know the stock one was even removable. if you bought these 5100's new then they should have come with that part. if you bought used then I would say call up billstein and order that part. it was made for this shock so that it will fit onto the retainer clip. The factory black bottom shock perch was not designed to fit onto the 5100.

I'm sure if you really wanted them off you could get them off. But I don't think they will be useable and if they are they probably won't be safe.

The stock perches aren't suppose to be used with the 5100's. There was a thread about someone buying 5100's off craigslist and they had the bilstein perches from the Off-Road.

That's what I was getting at but was hoping OP could figure that out on his own.
