Got these on last month, walked out and found the tread separating from the tires. Both front ones. The rears look okay.

I'd take blame if I had them on anything but dry, paved roads.

    Anyone had this happen before?

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
There was a big recall back in 06 but I haven't seen anything new.

    Is your alignment ok?

Unless you hit something to slice them like that, I'd take the truck back to the tire shop you bought the tires at and get a claim going with Cooper. I had a set crap out of me and Cooper actually came through and warrantied them. That doesn't look good at all!

This is <1,000 miles on the tires. Alignment is fine; heck, didn't even off-road the truck. You can see that the rubber is peeling off of where the seams are.

Definitely made up my mind about not buying these tires now. Thanks.

if you hit a bump and the tires went up into the wheel well, the inside lip of the ARB can cut the tread, one of my BFG's looks just like that because of it, the "only on the front" part makes sense too

Had STTs on my '05... they looked the 'coolest', lasted the longest (40-45K), worked great in mud and rocks... BUT: were loud as hell on the highway and were terrible in sand (grave diggers) compared to all other tires I have tried. Never had a failure with them... This was mostly in 2006-2007.
