Just wanted to share that the kicker sub I bought fits. It is a kicker 10tcvt. I purchased it locally for $160 (hawaii price). Amazon, sonicelectronix is much cheaper. I got the 2 ohm version, which is powered by a rockford mono amp. About the sound quality.. I've only had it for a few days, but I am extremely satisfied so far. I had a punch p2 in a properly sized box in my last car, and tested it in my truck (just sat it in the passenger footwell) just to have something to compare. The kicker sounds fantastically detailed - punchy and tightly defined bass. While I haven't tested it to see how loud it can go before it clips, it does go loud. The p2 was indeed quite a bit more "complete" sounding but I do not feel as this is a compromise.

    Anyway, here's the fitment:

The box does not touch the jack. The jack handle however was removed.

I also tested a pioneer slimline sub in a similar sized box - that was horrible. Completely bloated and not defined at all.

Nice. How many watts are you putting to it? What are you running for the rest of your system?

the kicker is a dual voice coil configured to 2 ohms. the amp is a rockford mono amp (a cheap one) pushing 250 watts into 2 ohms.

running a kenwood kiv bt901 head unit:
