Will a 2009+ LT-Z400 fit in a shortbox?

Thinking about picking up a leftover LT-Z400 and was wondering if it would fit right in the back of my 2006 double cab short box? Anyone know? The 2009 and up were a bit wider than the original version, that's why I'm curious.

    Thanks.

Worst case, put the front tires up on the wheel well and tie it back so it can't come crashing through the back glass when you stop short.

I have a 2008 LTZ400 and it fits fine with the tail gate down (have Dbl cab with short bed).
Not sure if theres a difference with track width on 2008 from 2009, but I don't think so. I think the only real difference is plastics and fuel injection vs. carb.

Just drop the gate and roll it all the way up until the front tires hit the back.

Apparently the front was widened some according to reviews, so I was just making sure. Thanks.

Nope, not a member of CT4wd. I have a buddy who works at a metal shop, and he is going to fab me up something to re-inforce my tailgate if required. I already put my YZ450 in the back with the rear wheel on the tailgate with no ill effect. From the looks of it the rear wheels of the Z400 would sit just on the end of my bed, but the rear of the unit will not allow me to close the tailgate, and I'm cool with that.

Ended up snagging it on Saturday. It a pretty fun little unit. Fits right in the back and isn't even close to sitting on the tailgate :) Thanks for the help guys.
