to clarify...camera mounted in the front for trail riding purposes

so got the camera installed on my front bumper and noticed this morning that the image is mirrored, after research and help of others, figured the camera comes pre-mirrored for reverse image purposes (or the JVC unit itself mirrors, still to be determined).

    video showing

notice where the white dotted line is for real and on the display...

any ideas on how to switch this?

um generally a back up camera is suppose to go on the back, therefore when you put it back there, right is actually on the right, left is on the left... get it?

so when i mount on my front bumper i can't see backwards? i don't get it?!

mounting the camera in the front to help with off roading, trying to find a solution to flipping the image so i can use it forward...

haha it wasnt being smartass, but think a little harder, when you put the camera on the back, your left when facing forward is the right part of the camera in the rear.

yes facing backwards it should match what you see in your rear view mirror...

now back to my original question...does anyone know how to switch this image so it works forward?

EDIT: OP was not clear but still, camera mounted on front to face forward and trying to get image to reflect what i'm seeing looking forward

It's a rear view camera. It's going to mirror the image. What you need is a camera that you can switch to either front or rear view.

you think it's something with the camera? or something that is within the unit?

wonder if i put the video cable into the aux instead of the camera input if it'll project normal...

I thought of that, and it's possible, but I'm thinking it's just the camera that sends the signal already flipped.

Could it be as simple as reversing some leads in the camera itself?

see i was thinking that exact same thing before posting but the camera is small and may be sealed in its own way (no screws maybe) :notsure: that would be NYCO's decision to check and if so to open it....:spy:
