poping in front end after camburg spindle lift

get the wheel off the ground and put one hand at 90 and the other at 270, opposing movements pull/push the outsides of the wheel. thats the easiest way. you could also get under the truck and check the racks mount points to make sure the bolts are tight

also to add, are your factory LCA bushings in good shape?

 

i also have this popping in my front end after installing my camburg spindles, i read somewhere on this site that it has something to do with the fact that the tie rods are flipped when attached to the new spindle. but im in no position to confirm or deny this.

 

you know why they do the flip?

iirc it is to prevent binding on droop

 

i would assume my bushing are okay, i will check all of this tommaro, my lower bj is leaking some grease to /:

 

I just replaced everything suspension component wise and the pop is gone so definetly take a look into all those things as well as the lca bushings! idk how to check if those are good or bad other than unbolting them

 

can you describe to me how your pop felt and when it occured? im going to do tie rods first

also it would not happen all the time, every once in a while.

 

I am looking into a spindle lift but I am a huge noise freak and hate hearing sounds from my truck. When is this popping happening most I am just curious??

 

when turning the steering wheel at low speeds, at least for myself.

I got over it and turned the volume up in the truck

 

same here, for me its more of a feeling than a noise

 

Mines just a noise, I don't mind it, but when it happens while I'm trying to park somewhere everybody looks at me funny, haha

 

At least you didn't make a loud ass noise grinding the hell into your cab mount and pinch weld parking and backing up. It was so so aweful lol

Haha, that's funny. I actually did all my trimming before i got my tires so that wouldn't happen.

 

I trimmed and did the cab mount, but I have 315's on. Looks like you at 285

 

Yeah I'm at 285s. How much clearance do you have with 315s? Are you clearing them with glass?

 

Ya I have glass. Just installed my Burg LT and when turning now I barely scrap the pinch weld so ill either have to self clearance it or take a hammer to it. Now I am nowhere near my cab mount, at least that I have been able to tell

I did the cab mount but was still rubbing it dead smack center of the frame

 

I'd just take a BFH to the pinch weld and flatten it down against the rest of the wheel well, that's what I'm going to do when I get new tires.
