leer 700, OME 885 w/dakar springs, full ato skids, sliders, all pro front bumper.
i had the same noise with my stock rims and a 3" ome lift.. it was the inner clip ( tire pressure sensor i think)on the rim hitting the lower control arm.. wheel spacers or better back spacing is required.

Check your wheel balancing weights to see if they are rubbing your sway bar. I had that problem on mine.

I was having a similar problem, so I asked my mechanic what was causing the popping sound and he told me it's the turn stop located here:
    4h5ag3_df07939af801b217de2a4cce5440e672991f5191.jpg

You see where the metal is rubbing on the turn stop (circled in the midde)? Put some grease there and see if the sound goes away, it worked for me.

    Reason I don't own a 2nd gen tacoma...

I watched all the videos and I don't have the slightest clue... I don't think it's a front axle... Take it to toyota and let them check it out.

EDIT: The noise only comes from your drivers side?
