That's the 3rd time someone has backed into my truck! :spy:

Kinda makes me wish I didn't have that TG bumper, I'd be ordering 5.29s and an ARB locker right now haha

9/2/14 Edit: 4.3 Vortec installed, NP3500, custom NP233 transfer case, high pinion dana 44 SAS with ARB, 4.88 gears, bobbing the bed, 5" lift, boxed rear frame, custom s10 fuel tank mount, etc. 12/16/13 Edit: Currently tearing down a 2000 Blazer to transplant the 4.3 Vortec and 5spd manual transmission (NV3500 I believe) into the Taco. It'll pass CO emissions when done. Planning to post a thread once complete. E-Locker, budget CAI and exhaust, Warn Powerstation, Addicted Off Road bumper, ToyTec OME w/AAL lift, aftermarket stereo w/10 inch subwoofer (only cool when you realize how I fit it in a reg cab truck), dual lexus horns, roll bar, off road lights, CB radio, Powertrax Lock Right locker (front diff), ejecto seat, laser/phaser/ion ray gun, oil slick, heat seaking missles...
45ACP, question for you. I have the same lift and springs, Toytec talked me into installing the leveling shim on the drivers side strut, and when everything was installed the truck leaned heavily to the pass side. Difference in lift between two fronts was .75" so I removed the leveling shim. It got better, but still leans. Can't figure out what is going on, everything says it should lean driver from the fuel tank and drivers weight, but this doesn't change even with a full tank and me sitting in the drivers seat. Any ideas? I'd put the shin in the pass side but it is already nearly 3.5" from factory and I don't want to increase the shaft angle much more.

Lol coils aren't side specific are they?

And just give it time. If they are new..let them settle.

Do what? I wish I had some! They are back ordered, gonna be another 3 weeks until I can get them. But I did put a deposit down on them today. :D

The shim is only like... less than 1/16th" thick? Shouldn't make that much of a difference. Are you using the 1/4" spacers by mistake? Could it be an issue with your leaf packs?

    This.

Thanks, don't have pics of before I removed the shim though (.156" thick, sits on strut just below the bottom of the spring).

Excellent question, something I was wondering myself. Toytec assembled them for me, so I'd have to give OME or Toytec a call and find out. Currently as it sits (w/o shim) hub to wheel well F-LH=25", F-RH=24", R-LH=25", R-RH=24.25.

Close study looks like LH/RH are assembled exactly the same, no broken leaf springs, etc. Maybe it will settle some, but I highly doubt 1", so I'll have to drive it back up to Toytec on my next day off (few and far between) and see what they say. Next time I'll go with adjustable struts . PS it was leaning about .25" to the passenger side before the lift, I remember thinking that was slightly odd.

BTW, does anyone know what I need to fill the gap underneath, once it's installed? :anonymous:
