So I just bought a 2012 double cab about a month ago and love it to death. I really couldn't make up my mind about if I should remove the mud flaps or not. The truck looks way better without them but at the same time I wanted to protect my baby. I ultimately decided to remove the fronts and keep the rears which I was happy with until I took to a trip to Portland from Socal. When I got back from the trip I noticed I had tons of scratches on the rear front fender from hug red rocks that where all over the road on a highway in southern Oregon. I could hear the rocks banging against the truck but I didn't think anything of it. Luckily there was some 3m film there but it didn't protect everything. I'm just kind of bummed now cause the white sticks out like a sore thumb on a magnetic grey truck. I know I'm going to get the truck beat up eventually but I would like it to be a bit later then a month so painful! Anybody have suggestions to getting rid the marks? I was thinking maybe touch up paint? Not the greatest pic but its worse then it looks.

I'm wondering if a lot of the damage was done to the 3m tape rather than to the actual paint. I bet that if you do a little bit of google research you can find a place that will replace it.

The reason why I say this is because my friend has it on the front of his lowered car, there and after a trip down south it looked like that. He had it replace and most of the marks left with the tape!

    Good luck.

I have the same issue but I have an 09 BSP...I like the idea of the tape, but the small area it covers is ridiculous in my opinion, they could cover a larger area...

Yeah a lot of the marks are on the 3m but it doesn't fully cover that area.
