anyone ever used liquid paint leveler?

    i once seen a guy take some kind of clear liquid and just wipe off the excess paint blob on a touched up spot on a car before. he wouldnt tell me what it is and said he "created" it, which i dont really buy. what do you guys think? any pros out there with experience in this?:rolleyes:

    Satoshi with FJ badge, factory cruise, factory intermittent wipers, Redline Tuning hood-lift struts, Hellwig Swaybar, Rosen DVD-Nav
    Pretty worthless for metallics.
    Some asshole keyed my wife's Rav4. It's dark metallic blue.
    The touchup paint looked promising.
    Broke out the Langka to level it out and it took the metallic off... the stuff gravitates to the surface of the paint.

    I have read a few success stories on this but mostly negative. If you used this on a regular basis, you might find a knack to it. There is not a silver bullet for touch up. Patience and a very steady hand with thinned paint and a very small pointed applicator still works best. It takes several very thin touch ups rather that a single blob.
