They ride stiffer than stock unloaded , with a bit of weight on they are good , with a lot of weight on they are awesome

I can't comment on AAL's I went from my stock Tacoma 4 leaf pack to the Daks

I got Wheeler's 3 leaf progressive AAL and the ride is awesome. Doesn't really do dick when it comes to hauling or towing though....that is where the Dakars win out.

If not hauling or towing and going just for height and ride quality, what would the better choice be? And I already have the stock TRD 5100s

    thx~!

If you never plan to haul, I honestly don't see why you should spend the extra $ on a full leaf pack. OZ is right that they can be a bit stiff when running unloaded (I sold my Daks to a buddy). As far as the type of AAL, I've never ridden in a truck with a single leaf AAL, so I can't make a direct comparison. I've never regretted put up a little extra cash for the 3-leaf though.

The only caveat is the Daks will "never" sag, whereas your stock leaf pack will eventually fail.

I have been really impressed with the OME and Dakar setup. I also have the LR UCA's and am running 285's. The stock truck felt spongy and rode like a car instead of a truck when it was stock. The ride is firmer but not uncomfortable. The truck rides and looks like what Toyota should have marketed as an "off road". I doubt you will be disappointed in OME. I will be towing with mine in a little over a week and can give an idea how it drives while towing.

I got 885s and Dakars and love them. Great ride on & off road.
Not the best suspension lift regardless of price, but it is the best listed and best reasonably priced one.

    Yes.

All wil do a slight settle right after install. But yes the new OME X don't have the sag problem the old ones did.

    See next responce

TRDs came with Billies but not 5100s. The 5100s are much better than the Billies that came stock. The Dakars will out last the stock leafs you put any AAL on. I can only compare Dakars to stock leafs never had an AAL and never bothered to get the TSB leafs. They are stiffer than stock & will ride better with some extra weight on them. A local member rode in mine and said it was a lot smother than his (same rear setup) because of the weight of my shell.

I didn't put new UCAs on mine & it drives fine. Caster isn't within specs but it has no problems and caster doesn't efect tire wear.

Well I think I'll be ordering the OME kit tomorrow with the Dakar's and new UCA. Here is my final check list does this look ok?

    OME Suspension Lift -
    with 885X coils
    Top plate spacers
OME CS047R springs with U bolts (Dakar)
    Diff drop Kit 4X4
    Rear shock stone gaurds
Assembled front shocks/coils with new bushings
    LR UCA -
    Extended Rear brake lines -

Is there somthing else that im missing if so please let me know. Even if its somthing small.

I'm still a bit nervous about this kit because of the damn spacers lol and problems with vibrations. It may also be me but will this kit be ok for my truck even though I dont have a bed weight or cap. The thing im most nervous and unsure of is if this kit will give me 3" +/- of lift as well as make level ride with no bro lean. In addition im also thinking about the Icon UCA's - . What is the difference between the UCA's if its worth the money ill get the Icons instead. Last but not least is there a discount code for this order?
